Black History Month Celebration

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our event celebrating Black History Month last Friday 25th October 2024! Residents came together for an event filled with vibrant culture, connection and community spirit.

We kicked off with some energising DJ music that set a lively tone, while delicious food platters showcased flavours from across Africa. Residents enjoyed a unique mix of activities, from an inspiring African drum performance to hands-on sewing crafts that allowed residents to create and take home their own creations. Followed by some poem presentations, and story time sessions that brought stories and traditions to life. Residents also had fun participating in games, which made for great moments of laughter and connection. Throughout the event, networking opportunities helped residents form new friendships and strengthen bonds within the community.

All our residents had a fantastic time, they greatly appreciated this chance to come together to celebrate Black History Month with us in such a meaningful way. We look forward to more gatherings and events that bring us all closer!
