Visit to the Seaside

Updated: Aug 28, 2024

In August, we organised a resident visit to the seaside in Folkestone.

Although the weather was unpredictable as it was rainy and windy, it offered a very different experience from the usual sunny, beach-filled outings you'd ordinarily get. The beach, known for its golden sands and picturesque views, transformed under the moody weather conditions, creating a unique atmosphere that that was equally captivating. It was mesmerising to watch the powerful waves at sea.

The younger children had so much fun playing on the beach, locating sea shells and playing with the sand while the adults found some sheltered spots near the seawall to sit back and enjoy the view as well as the sea breeze.

Afterwards, we popped into a cosy cafe where we treated ourselves to some hot drinks and treats.

Overall, we had a fantastic time with our residents and the experience became a memorable adventure together!
