Women In Construction Event

Thank you to all the residents who joined us for the Women in Construction event!

It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from some incredible women in senior positions at Axis, including our Divisional Manager, Business Support Director, Operations Director, Senior Resident Liaison Officer, Head of Community Investment, and Contracts Manager. They shared their personal journeys and experiences, shining a light on the impressive progress women are making in the construction industry.

We had such a great time sharing our stories, engaging in lively discussions, and exploring opportunities within Axis. One of the standout moments was hearing from Rosita, our Divisional Manager. She began her career as a Resident Liaison Officer and has worked her way up to her current role.

Sarah, our Senior Resident Liaison Officer, shared her story of balancing a career with family life. She mentioned, “Axis has always been flexible with my career, especially when I transitioned from full time to part-time to raise my child.”

We also took the time to discuss current opportunities within Axis our residents. One 18-year-old attendee expressed interest in gaining work experience and learning about career options. We were thrilled to offer her guidance on various apprenticeships in different trades and business support roles, as well as summer work experiences. It’s part of our commitment to nurturing young talent and providing valuable real-world experience.
